Trained at The Savoy (London) from 1989-92, Le pre Catalan (Paris) 1992-93, Hotel les Roche (St. Tropez) 1993-94, La Cinzianella (Italy) 1994-95, Chef Andy spent over 15 years as Head Chef at the Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Zafferano in Belgravia before launching L’Amorosa in September 2014.

Chef Andy’s passion shines through in every dish he makes. He crafts a seasonal menu that celebrates the freshest, high-quality ingredients, sourced from the same purveyors who supply London's most esteemed restaurants. While the menu may appear concise, it's a testament to his culinary mastery. Simplicity is elevated to an art form, with each dish bursting with flavour and showcasing the true essence of Italian cooking.

RESTAURANT L’AMOROSA

Tucked away in the heart of Ravenscourt Park once resided L'Amorosa, a haven for those who cherished exceptional Italian fare. More than just a restaurant, it was a culinary love story brought to life by Chef Andy Needham and his wife Lynn.

Born from a passion for creating innovative, yet authentic Italian-inspired cuisine, L'Amorosa quickly blossomed into a neighborhood favourite boosting notable visitors including reknown international DJ Carl Cox and London food critic and freelance writer Andy Hayler. Its warm and inviting setting played host to countless memorable evenings and private parties, as Chef Andy’s artistry on the plate garnered a loyal following.

For an impressive six consecutive years (2016-2021), L'Amorosa proudly held the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction, a testament to its high-quality cooking and unmatched value. Accolades didn't stop there; they also secured OpenTable's Diner's Choice Award (2018) and Hammersmith & Fulham's Best New Business award in 2014 shortly after opening.

While L'Amorosa may no longer grace the streets of Ravenscourt Park, its legacy lives on. For those yearning for a taste of that Michelin-caliber experience without the hefty price tag, Chef Andy continues to offer his culinary magic through our private dining and catering services.
